POSTERS Exhibition Catalogue

Posters: Protest, Performance, Propaganda.

Our exhibition includes original vintage propaganda posters from China and Russia, dating from the 1950s 60s and 70s. There are protest posters of the great print workshops of the eighties, such as Redback Graphix in Sydney and Red Planet in Melbourne, covering subjects such as the environment, feminism, anti-nuclear protest and Aboriginal land rights. The late Martin Sharp’s great talent is seen in the psychedelic pop poster of the sixties, Mr Tambourine Man – Blowing in the Mind plus several of his Opera House, Circus Oz, Tiny Tim and Nimrod posters.
